No. JargonLens explains selected terms in the context of the original video. It does not replace the video's argument with a summary.
Does it replace the video's captions?
No. Captions provide the spoken transcript. JargonLens adds concise definitions for selected terminology while leaving the video's captions and controls intact.
Can I revisit a definition?
Yes. The popup keeps a searchable glossary for recent supported videos and lets you jump to the timestamp associated with a term.
Does JargonLens work on every YouTube video?
JargonLens works on public English YouTube videos that already have captions. Videos without an available caption track are not supported.
What information is processed?
